We all endorse Raam Rajya when it comes the governance but do we know why was it best? Let’s see.
Moral Values – People of Ayodhya had moral values in their blood. They understand their responsibilities to the society, to the nation and to the environment very well and always do what is right! And they made sure to pass these moral values to their next generation.
King – The only requirement to be the successor of the King was to have a good character. If you have best skills, great abilities but no character, you can be denied to be successor of the King.
Amatya Body – There were Amatya Body who was ultimately managing everything in the Ayodhya. To be one of the Amatya also, you need to have a good character, so almost everywhere Moral Values and a Good Character were the base of the system
Rishi Mandal – There were hierarchy in the management. Amatya first, above them King and above King, there were Rishi Mandal. Rishi Mandals observes everything all the time. if they find any thing off, they dared to bring it to the notice of King. They can even hold King if something is not right.
Even Rishi Mandals can be held if Moral Values are not being followed. So overall Raam Rajya was working on top of Moral Values. And thats why it was best.
What can we learn from this? We can bring culture of Core Values in our Company/Organization.
- Core values should drive each and every member of the Organisation. We need to make sure, Core Values are passed on to each new batch of team.
- There must be advisory board/mentors above the COE/MD who can hold everyone in the company.
- Any decision/action for company must derive from the core values of the company.
Core Values are Superior for any Company, No one should dare suppress it.
